Opening reception on June 6th starting at 5:00 and closing at 8:00. James Augustus McLean was a significant, but often overlooked North Carolina artist, whose contributions to art in the sate have been important and long-lasting. His output over seven decades produced a collection of work spanning every major art movement from realism to abstraction and his own creation of a naturalist approach to compositions. Coming directly from the artist’s estate, this fundraising exhibition will present works from McLean’s late career, including a selection of artworks available for purchase.

The exhibition is being held at the Greenville Museum of Art in Greenville, North Carolina. The address is 802 S. Evans Street and regular museum hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 4:30pm.
